Common Proposal Errors and Troubleshooting

Overview

The following is a list of common proposal errors and troubleshooting tips to help you successfully resolve any issus when working on proposals in the Agency Quoting Center.

Effective Date Error

  • Issue: The effective date falls outside the allowable submission range.

  • Resolution: Adjust the effective date so it falls within the permitted window.

FEIN Validation Error

  • Issue: The FEIN is invalid or duplicates an existing insured record.

  • Resolution: Verify the FEIN contains exactly nine digits. If it matches an existing insured, contact underwriting.

Loss History Validation Error

  • Issue: Loss history information is incomplete.

  • Resolution: Enter claim counts for every year. Use zero (0) instead of leaving fields blank.

Payroll Validation Error

  • Issue: Payroll and employee counts are inconsistent.

  • Resolution: Payroll must be zero if employee count is zero. Employee count must be greater than zero when payroll exceeds zero.

Premium Not Updating? 

  • Resolution: Select Run Rating Calculations after saving changes.
