How to Generate a New Business Quote

Overview

The Agency Quoting Center allows agents to create workers' compensation proposals, calculate premium estimates, and generate proposal packets for eligible submissions. Agents can submit business information, complete rating details, and generate proposals directly through the Agency Portal.

Before You Begin

Before creating a quote, ensure you have:

• Business name
• FEIN
• Coverage effective date
• Payroll information
• Employee counts
• Prior loss history
• Contact information

Important: Effective dates must be within three business days in the past or within 60 days in the future.

Generate a New Business Quote

• Sign in to the Agency Portal.
• Select Agency Quoting.
• Click Start New Proposal.
• Enter the effective date.
• Select Create Proposal.
• Complete the required sections:
  • Coverage Information
  • Coverage Questions
  • Loss History
  • Insured Information
  • General Information
  • State Information
  • Location and Payroll Information
• Click Submit Proposal.
• Review the premium rating.
• Select Generate Proposal if the option is available.
• Send the proposal to the insured or download the quote packet.

Important Notes

• The FEIN must be exactly nine digits.
• All required fields marked with an asterisk (*) must be completed.
• If a proposal triggers underwriting rules, the Generate Proposal button may not appear.

FAQ

Why can't I see the Generate Proposal button?

The proposal may have triggered an underwriting exception that requires underwriter review. Use the Request Proposal workflow.

Can I edit a submitted proposal?

Yes. Save your updates and run Rating Calculations again to update the premium.
