Keyboard Trays and Workstations
Do All Computer Workstations Need Keyboard Trays?
Not all computer workstations require keyboard trays.
Adjustable keyboard trays can be helpful because they allow employees of different statures to maintain a neutral posture while performing computer tasks. The general goal is to keep the keyboard positioned approximately one inch below seated elbow height.
In some cases, the height of the desk itself may already meet this recommendation. In others, an adjustable keyboard tray can help ensure that all employees are able to work in a comfortable and ergonomically appropriate position.
