Proposal Status Definitions
Effective 9/1/2026
Overview
Every proposal moves through a series of statuses as it progresses from application to policy issuance. Understanding the status definitions can help agents determine the next required action.
Submitted
A proposal reaches Submitted status after all required information is completed and the agent selects Submit Proposal. Premium calculations are performed and the proposal remains editable.
Proposed
A proposal reaches Proposed status after a proposal packet has been generated. This occurs when the submission passes validations and the agent has authority to generate the proposal.
Proposal Requested
Proposal Requested indicates the submission has been routed to an underwriter for review because the agent cannot generate the proposal directly.
Bound
Bound indicates coverage has been issued and the policy has been created.
Incomplete
Incomplete proposals are applications that were started but not fully submitted.
Rejected
Rejected proposals are submissions that were reviewed and not approved. These remain visible within the Incomplete and Rejected Proposals widget.
