How to Submit an Application for Underwriting Review

Overview
Some submissions require review by an underwriter before a proposal can be generated or bound. When this occurs, agents must submit a Request Proposal.
Submit for Underwriting Review
- Complete and submit a proposal.
- Review any underwriting exception messages.
- Select UW Exception Management to determine the reason for review.
- Click Request Proposal.
- Refresh the dashboard to view the updated status.
- Monitor the proposal in the Request Proposal queue until underwriting completes its review.
Common Reasons for Review
- Estimated premium exceeds underwriting authority thresholds.
- Certain class codes require review.
- Temporary staffing exposures.
- Employee leasing exposures.
- Multi-state proposals including MA or CT.
